Ingredients:
2 cups garden sorrel leaves, washed
1 head red leaf lettuce or butter lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
¾ cup nectarines, thinly sliced
3 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tbsp grape-seed oil
2 tbsp maple syrup
¾ tsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp shallot, minced
1 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
1 tbsp chives, finely minced
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
In a large bowl, combine the sorrel, lettuce, and nectarines. Whisk together the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl and season. Drizzle the dressing over salad, toss lightly, and serve.
